Triumph’s very successful competition 500cc Trophy motorcycles began with the all alloy parallel port engine models in 1949. This rear guard is available in steel or aluminium and a choice of widths. This model is the 5” or 127mm wide version. The large radius gives high clearance on the rear tyre allowing use of the sprung hub as an option. Most early models had a very slight ducktail lip.
