Douglas Rear Mudguard / Fender by Vintage Steel

There is evidence today of many different types of mudguards on the 1914-23 Douglas motorcycles. Here we have copied samples of quite a few. This is one of the wide series from 1919-1923, the C section finished depth of 1+1/2” width is 4+1/4" plus the belt rim cover. We have numbered the rear guards as #13DOURF-1 (no belt cover extension), #13DOURF-2 (simple belt cover extension) & #13DOURF-3 (complex belt cover extension)
This rear guard has asymmetric full length valances with safety edges and the drive side (RHS) has a rolled edge belt rim cover soldered to the bottom edge of the valance. There are pressings in the side of the guard blade for belt clearance.
