Norton CS1 Rear #27-2
/ Michael RockNorton’s CS1 is the road going replicas of their 1927 OHC TT model. They often wore competition style slim mudguards of a plain C section. Various versions of mudguard were likely to be seen as bikes used in competition commonly endured many modifications in their careers. Samples we’ve seen were mostly in the 4.5” to 5” range and this is the 5” (127mm) wide version. It has a chain clearance pressing in the left side at the nose end and a ducktail and raised rolled lip at the tail end. For a corresponding front guard see #13NORFF-1, (link below).

There is also the 5” wide D section similar to the #25aNORRF-1 (link below)seen on some early model roadgoing CS1s.
