Norton 1927 CS1 Rear #19-1W
/ Michael RockNorton CS1 rear mudguard by Vintage Steel
Road going replicas of Norton’s 1927 OHC TT model, designated the CS1, often wore slim mudguards of a plain C section. Various forms of mudguard were likely to be seen as race bikes commonly endured many modifications in their careers. This rear mudguard has a chain clearance pressing in the left side at the nose end. It has a finished width of 118mm (4+5/8”), a ducktail and raised rolled lip at the tail end. For the corresponding front guard see #13NORFF-1, link below.
5” versions are also available.
Some early models have also been seen with the standard road model mudguards of 5” wide D section.
