Douglas Rear Mudguard / Fender by Vintage Steel

There is evidence today of many different types of mudguards on the 1914-23 Douglas motorcycles. Here we have copied samples of quite a few. This is one of the wide series from 1919-1923, the C section finished depth of 1+1/2” width is 4+1/4" plus the belt rim cover. We have numbered the rear guards as #13DOURF-1 (no belt cover extension), #13DOURF-2 (simple belt cover extension) & #13DOURF-3 (complex belt cover extension)
This rear guard has asymmetric full length valances with safety edges and the drive side (RHS) has a rolled edge belt rim cover soldered to the bottom edge of the valance. There are pressings in the side of the guard blade for belt clearance. This guard is the same as the #13DOURF-1 with the addition of the belt cover extension all the way to the engine pulley.
