ROVER 1916 Rear mudguard by Vintage Steel

This Rover Rear mudguard is copied from an original 1916 model with a slight allowance made for modern rims and tyres.  Many restored Rovers with 26" wheels appear to have very tight fitting or even interference fit mudguards.  Investigating this, we have heard that Rovers of this period may have been fitted with 25" wheels. 
We now make these Rover guards with standard diameter or with an extra 1/2" in diameter to clear a 26x2.5" tyre and even (only just) a 26x3".  You may have to consider modifying your mounting limitations of front and rear stands when ordering larger radius guards.  The finished valanced rear mudguard is 99mm wide.  It has four valance sections with either swaged, riveted, spot welded or soldered joins as appropriate for the year.  It has a safety edge and also a rib in the valance, plus stiffener bracket riveted for the rear stand clip (not supplied).  It is also a 2-piece guard with riveted joining brackets.
