Puch Rear Mudguard by Vintage Steel

This guard is copied from a client’s 1951 sample. We don’t have the tooling to make these in one piece as the originals were a stamping. To get the right section we had to use a rolled edge guard and roll swage valance panels in to be filled later with solder / lead. Removing and re-fitting the clients original hinge and main bracket took some time The tail-piece has much flattening and shaping to suit the number-plate. A raised lip is then rolled around the whole guard. Finishing includes making and riveting a tail bracket and adding a chain clearance pressing. Not really one we want to do again.
