AJS/Matchless Two-Piece Rear Mudguards for 1949-56 models

These ‘D’ section mudguards were used by AJS and Matchless for a number of years. This hinged version with the long tail was used in 1951 and 1952. All 5 versions from 1949 (no rib) -1957 (ribbed) are available. This rear mudguard must be one of our most complex with full length rib interrupted twice, deep swingarm clearance pressing and chainguard and frame clearance pressing and cut-out. It has four spot-welded reinforcing plates, 3 shaped riveted brackets, a riveted hinge, full length valances and a ducktail with folded end.
