Reading Standard Front Fender / Mudguard by Vintage Steel

Reading Standard motorcycles, from Reading, Pennsylvania were manufactured from 1903 to 1924 . This rear fender suits 1920-23 models and uses the widened American Stamping Coy profile, slightly modified. Valances are spot welded extending the flare of the guard. The two loop stays (braces) shown here are 1919 only, not correct for 1920-23. The correct braces are individual pieces each side with two rivets together in each side of the fender and they don’t continue across inside the fender. The lower brace (not pictured) has a bend before it meets the laser cut bracket. These are provided loose as a kit for fitting on the bike. The finished width of this guard is approx 132mm. Matching rear and other years are also available.
