Ariel 1951-on Plunger Rear #47-6

Plunger Ariel Twin Rear Mudguard
Ariel used this 152mm wide D section mudguard with rolled edges through the 1940’s and 50’s. In 1951 they changed to a one-piece guard and the stays bolted onto 6 welded tabs on the guard edge as seen here. This guard also has a centre rib in the Ariel style and a raised folded tail blended into this rib at the end. The chain clearance area is cut, folded and pressed into shape and 5 wiring tabs are welded inside to finish it.
Riveted step-out bracket under saddle is now available.
Some models used a slightly narrower guard identical in all respects except width at 147mm wide #43ARIRF-6.
