Rudge Rear 1930 #31-3&4
/Here is a Rudge motorcycle rear mudguard made using a combination of original 1930 samples and factory (office) drawing #M2730 for the 1930 with small tyres (26x3.25 & 27x2.75”). If using large tyres (27x4 or 28x3.5) please specify drawing M2731 or our item #31WRUDRF-4. It has been an interesting experience to learn that what actually left the factory wasn't always exactly as drawn by the drafting office. In most cases it becomes obvious when trying to make something as drawn, that some liberties were taken on the workshop floor. This guard is 2-piece with riveted stiffening strap, rear mounting bracket, pressings both sides at the nose and two joint brackets (left unriveted). The finished widths vary from sample to sample 5.30”-5.64” with a slight concave in the sides.
